Yellow Rose Ceremony Held in Honor of International Women’s Day

In honor of International Women’s Day, The University of Olivet held a Yellow Rose Recognition ceremony and luncheon on March 7, 2024. The Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging and students of the Family Dynamics and Self and Community courses co-hosted the event.

The International Women’s Day Luncheon was a social and cultural celebration of women on campus. Guest speakers Priya Basnyat, assistant coordinator of retention initiatives and housing operations, and student Asia Sherman shared their international stories.

The Yellow Rose awardees were selected by students as women who inspire and empower others. The awardees ranged from staff, faculty and students.
