We are UOlivet is an ongoing project that features students and employees sharing their Olivet experiences in their own words. As Olivetians, we celebrate the uniqueness of all individuals. We welcome you being YOU!

Jaelyn Weber Peabody, rising junior and biology major with a pre-med concentration.
“I actually grew up in just a town over, in Bellevue, and I went to Olivet schools my whole life. I took two years off after I graduated high school. Then I decided I’d like to go back to school, and I just thought Olivet would be a good option, I could stay local. What’s kept me here is all the people, all the connections I’ve made and how easy it is to connect on such a small campus.”

Alia Riehl, rising senior and exercise science and sports psychology double major.
“My favorite spot on campus? This is going to sound cliché because I’m an athlete, but it probably is Cutler. My freshman year me and my friend group used to go there all the time and play open gyms until like two or three in the morning. Like we were there all night just playing for endless hours. That’s one of the main memories that really stuck with me throughout my time here. Whenever I think about doing something with my friend group it has never not involved Cutler. ”
Dylan Beck, rising senior and accounting major

“So my brother actually got me to go here. He played football, and he graduated in 2023. But then, when I came here, I found out, hey, it’s a great place to be. I made a lot of new friends and I’ve gotten to know a lot of the staff. Basically, the friendships and then how close you can be with the professors have really gotten me to stay.”
