It’s never too early to start thinking about college or even a transfer to The University of Olivet! To help you find your fit at OC, the expert admissions team is planning special events to share what life as a Comet is like. Join the team for a fun and unique Comet Day on campus Friday, Sept. 14 or Saturday, Sept. 29 during OC Homecoming.

At Comet Day Sept. 14 students will:

  • Dig deeper into majors and programs
  • Meet with professors, coaches, admissions representatives and the financial aid team
  • Learn about athletic opportunities, music ensembles, student life and more
  • Tour Campus
  • Dine in the Kirk Center
  • Have fun!

At Homecoming Comet Day Sept. 29, students will have an experience much like what is outlined above, but also will see The University of Olivet spirit at its peak during the biggest football game of the year. In addition, lunch will be served at an exclusive, family friendly tailgate for future Comets – with a bird’s eye view of the action.

Often, the feeling a student gets while on campus is the deciding factor in making their college selection. During Comet Days, you will get to see where you’ll study and live, including classrooms and a room in the residence hall you might live in. In addition, connecting with coaches, music ensembles directors and professors will introduce you to the OC family, and you’ll quickly realize the strong support system guaranteed when you become a Comet. Plus, there are many scholarships available, ensuring you will be able to earn an affordable, unrivaled education.
“Our goal is to show students they are our top priority, and Comet Days are geared toward connecting students with all of campus – an invaluable experience in the college search process,” said Jared Stratz, assistant director of admissions. “Committing to college early helps you earn the best financial aid package and have plenty of time to plan your next chapter in life. At The University of Olivet, the admissions team is ready and willing to work with you to help you reach your goals.”

If a Comet Day doesn’t work for you, students may also schedule personalized visit days. These are a great way for students to check out The University of Olivet for the first time, and learn more about their college options. Plus, this October, we’ll also be coming to you for Comet Connections in Detroit, Lansing and Jackson. Check out all visit opportunities.
