The University of Olivet is ranked #12 in Top Performers on Social Mobility and #38 in Regional Colleges Midwest in the 2024 U.S. News & World Report list.

Kip Darcy, vice president for enrollment management, said, “As the newly appointed vice president of enrollment, I am thrilled to see how well The University of Olivet was ranked in the U.S. News & World Report Best College list. These rankings reflect Olivet’s dedication to academic excellence and commitment to making a college education accessible to all. I look forward to continuing to better an already great institution to provide exceptional educational opportunities for our students.”

The 2024 ranking is Olivet’s fifth year in the top 20 in Top Performers on Social Mobility. Social mobility measures how well schools graduated students who received federal Pell Grants.

“These rankings demonstrate The University of Olivet’s commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience,” President Steven M. Corey, Ph.D., said. “It is fantastic to see that we are ranked as a top performer on social mobility for the fifth consecutive year. As we embrace our new status as a university, we are eager to embark on a journey toward even more remarkable milestones in higher education.”

U.S. News & World Report is frequently cited as the nation’s premier college ranking publication. The rankings, which group schools based on categories created by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, are one of the most comprehensive research tools for students and parents considering higher education opportunities.

Factors contributing to general rankings included retention and graduation outcomes, faculty resources, expert opinion, financial resources, student excellence and alumni giving. To review the complete methodology, visit www.usnews.com/collegemeth.
