Mission Statement:
The University of Olivet Black Student Union is dedicated to promoting the academic success, cultural awareness, and social engagement of Black students on campus.
We strive to:
1. Empower: Provide resources, mentorship, and a safe space for Black students to excel academically and develop leadership skills.
2. Celebrate Culture: Organize events, workshops, and cultural celebrations that educate the campus community about Black history, heritage, and contributions.
3. Advocate: Advocate for social justice, equity, and inclusion on campus and in the broader community, addressing issues that affect Black students.
4. Foster Unity: Build a sense of belonging and solidarity among Black students and allies, promoting a campus environment that embraces diversity and inclusion.
5. Collaborate: With other student organizations, faculty, and staff to create a more equitable and diverse college experience for all.
