Local Scene

The community beyond the college campus provides safe and convenient entertainment options to students above and beyond the regular activities of campus life.

Street’s Eats
Stop by Street’s Eats on Main Street for classic drive-in favorites like cheeseburgers, fries and ice cream! Be sure to taste Hot Rod, a Mooville ice cream flavor made exclusively for Street’s Eats, featuring a decadent caramel swirl with a sweet marshmallow twist in rich, chocolate ice cream.

Whitetail Farms Fresh Market
From wings, BBQ, brisket and ribs to macaroni and cheese, waffle fries and fresh fruit, there’s a delicious meal waiting for everyone at Whitetail Farms Fresh Market. This local favorite offers great deals on lunch and dinner specials featuring smoked meats and homestyle sides.

If it’s a sub you’re craving, head down to the local Subway for a better-for-you sandwich, made just the way you like it. The restaurant is located in the Marathon gas station and convenience store.

Coming Soon: The Block House

Block House (formerly the Lamplighter)

Currently undergoing renovations, this casual dining/bar facility serving the Olivet community and its visitors from near and far will include an arena-style competitive and recreational gaming space.

Block House will make it possible for gamers to connect worldwide. Plans to host high school, college, and casual esports competitions have been solidified. UOlivet is excited to have the Block House serve as the home of the future UOlivet esports team.

The menu pulls from globally-inspired cuisines from three continents –  the Americas, Asia and Europe –  as a reference to the continental servers that often group gamers together.
