Have a Plan of Action in Place
In recognition of our shared commitment to Individual and Social Responsibility, we must all do our part to maintain our health and support the health and well-being of all members of our
campus community. It is important to have a personal plan of action in place should you contract COVID or any illness that requires you to miss class or work.
The following are some things to consider when making your plan of action:
- If I am required to isolate, where will I stay? Will I need assistance securing a safe place to stay for the duration of my required isolation? Do I have transportation? Will I have access to food?
- Do I have access to testing if a COVID test is required at any point? Where is the nearest test location?
- If I am required to take my temperature at any time, do I have access to a thermometer and know how to use it?
- When I am permitted to return to campus, I may be required to wear a mask for a certain time. Am I willing and able to wear a mask for the required time? Do I have masks available to me?
- What professors do I need to notify of my absence? What steps can I take to keep on top of my coursework?
- Will I have access to reliable internet and a laptop during my isolation period?
- If I am a student employee, who do I need to notify of my absence?
- If I require medical care, do I have a family doctor I can contact? Or, is there an urgent care or hospital close to where I will be staying?
