Emergency Alert System

The University of Olivet utilizes RAVE Alert System (Smart911), a mobile emergency alert system hosted by Eaton County 911. It is designed to quickly and efficiently communicate important information during emergencies. This system ensures that all members of our campus community receive timely updates in an emergency or urgent situation on campus.

All students, faculty and staff have been automatically enrolled in the RAVE Alert System. Alerts will be sent to a student’s UOlivet email, mobile number on file, and staff desk phone extensions.

Family members or significant persons may also enroll in RAVE Alert System to stay aware of situations that may occur at UOlivet. There are three ways they can enroll.

UOlivet community members can make changes to notification preferences and family members may enroll by taking one of the steps below:

2. Download the Smart911 app, create an account and manage your preferences in settings.
3. Visit Smart911.com, create an account and manage your preferences in settings.

We strongly encourage students to stay enrolled in the RAVE Alert System to receive critical updates that can help ensure their safety. The system is designed to provide alerts in a timely manner, and every student’s participation will help keep our community informed during campus emergencies.

Committed to Safety

Dedicated, compassionate and experienced officers available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, comprise The University of Olivet Campus Safety team. The Campus Safety Office is conveniently located in Cutler Student Center.

Cameras are located in strategic locations across campus and our safety officers regularly patrol our facilities. In addition, Campus Safety, the Eaton County Sheriff’s Department and the City of Olivet Police Department work closely together.

In the case of an emergency, students should call 911. The University of Olivet Campus Safety can be reached at 269-749-7911.
