Robin Hinman serves as the vice president for advancement at The University of Olivet, bringing more than a decade of experience in nonprofit and higher education fundraising and three years in the insurance industry. In this leadership role, Robin spearheads the University’s fundraising efforts, working collaboratively with the alumni and advancement team to host alumni events, build meaningful relationships and secure philanthropic support to drive UOlivet’s mission forward. She is passionate about connecting donors with opportunities that create meaningful impact in their areas of interest.
Prior to joining The University of Olivet, Robin worked for her alma mater Siena Heights University, where she held roles of increasing responsibility within the advancement department. During her tenure, she worked closely with alumni to secure major gifts, establish new endowed scholarships and develop innovative fundraising initiatives for athletics, the annual fund and other key University programs.
Before her time in higher education, Robin served as development director at Habitat for Humanity, where she launched service-learning programs, including an annual alternative spring break trip for Siena students to Beaches Habitat in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Her early career experience also included fundraising for Junior Achievement and a role at Gleaner Life Insurance, where she managed community outreach and service initiatives across multiple states.
As a dedicated advocate for community engagement, Robin has served as a past member of Adrian Morning Rotary, where she was honored as Rotarian of the Year. She has also served on the Boards of Athena Lenawee, Zonta of Lenawee and the Adrian and Tecumseh Area Chamber of Commerce.
Robin holds a Bachelor of Arts in business and psychology from Siena Heights University and an associate degree in graphic design and marketing from Baker College of Owosso.
