Coach Peter Sabiiti took the helm as The University of Olivet’s Head Women’s Coach in 2021. Prior to joining the Comets, Coach Sabiiti spent five seasons as the assistant varsity and head junior varsity men’s basketball coach at Aquinas College. While there, he assisted with all facets of the program, including recruiting of prospective student-athletes, mentoring student-athletes, assessing given strengths and weaknesses of players and advancing skill sets to perform successfully, and planning and instructing camps and clinics. In addition, he has worked as a parenting nurturing direct care worker at Arbor Circle in Grand Rapids since March 2015.

Coach Sabiiti earned a bachelor’s of arts degree from Aquinas in 2014 and master’s degree in ministry and leadership from Cornerstone University in 2020. As a student at Aquinas, he played basketball for two seasons before becoming a student assistant coach for his final two seasons.

Coach Sabiiti is grateful for the opportunity to have a positive influence on the lives of his student-athletes and watch them make a positive impact on their communities.
