Linda Goulet, D.B.A., is the department chair and a professor for the business programs at The University of Olivet. Dr. Goulet has more than 25 years of experience working in higher education, primarily as an academic administrator. Additionally, she has taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing strategy, professional selling, consumer behavior, branding, global marketing, human resources and sustainable business. Dr. Goulet has mentored many marketing internship students, oversaw their progress and coached them as they approached graduation.

Before transitioning to higher education, Dr. Goulet worked in various marketing roles, including marketing manager, promotions manager and sales representative for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer companies. She worked with Fortune 500 companies and small and medium-sized companies, developing promotional strategies in various industries. Dr. Goulet began teaching as an adjunct faculty member while working in marketing. Dr. Goulet’s research has been in sustainable business, where she studied leadership strategies of small and medium-sized businesses in West Michigan.

Dr. Goulet is the vice president of collegiate relations for the West Michigan Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Dr. Goulet has a passion for community outreach, focusing on at-risk youth. She has been a member of the STRIVE program, mentoring high school juniors and seniors for nearly 20 years. She has deep roots in her urban community and has served on the Board of Directors for the East Hills Council of Neighbors and on its events and green committees. Dr. Goulet feels the culture at The University of Olivet aligns closely with her values, and she appreciates the staff and faculty’s passion for the students.

Dr. Goulet received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Michigan University and her doctorate from Walden University.
