Julie Williams, Ed.D.

Julie Williams, Ed.D, brings more than 20 years of experience in the K–12 education system to her role as an adjunct instructor in the Master of Education in Special Education program at The University of Olivet. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, supervisor and director, with a strong focus on student support and leadership in special education.

She holds multiple administrative and teaching licenses, including K–8 elementary education, K–12 special education, K–12 principal, director of special education and superintendent. Dr. Williams earned her bachelor’s degree in English and elementary education, master’s in special education and teaching, education specialist in educational administration and educational doctorate in education, all from the University of St. Thomas.

A lifelong learner and dedicated educator, she is passionate about preparing future educators to serve students of all abilities with skill and compassion.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time outdoors with her family. She especially values time at their cabin in Northern Minnesota, where they enjoy relaxing and making memories together.
