Joylyn Stover, Ed.D. is an assistant professor of business and leadership at The University of Olivet, where she teaches undergraduate business courses and MBA Organizational Behavior. She also designed the curriculum and teaches in the Master of Arts in Leadership program in the Creativity, Innovation, and Change concentration, where her courses emphasize experiential learning, innovation, and applied leadership practice.

Dr. Stover brings nearly two decades of experience from Consumers Energy, where she specialized in governance, strategic operations, and leadership development while working in electric system operations, corporate safety, and frontline workforce training. In this role, she partnered with union and management cross-functional teams to lead grassroots culture change initiatives and drive workforce transformation. Her teaching and program design integrate these experiences, preparing students to navigate complexity and lead with creativity, resilience, and impact.

In addition to teaching, Dr. Stover is also the advisor of the KBB Pioneers, a leadership development group on campus named in honor of the first three graduates of The University of Olivet in 1863, Sophia Keyes, Mary Barber and Sara Benedict.

Beyond academia, Dr. Stover is the CEO and co-founder of a nonprofit organization that develops life skills programs to empower individuals across diverse ages and backgrounds. Her professional expertise is further informed by her experience as a mother of a blended family of four teenagers, which has strengthened her adaptability and commitment to human-centered leadership.
