Jennifer Klauth (rhymes with “float”) is an assistant professor of social work and the director of social work practicum at The University of Olivet. She is a licensed macro social worker passionate about developing critically-thinking, hope-filled advocates for a more just world.
Professor Klauth has both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Baylor University. Her social work practice experience includes home healthcare, providing case management and counseling for people who have experienced trauma, child hunger program organizing, designing a mentor program for girls who have experienced human trafficking, coalition leadership and teaching social work students.
She lives in East Lansing with her loving husband, two beautiful children, and one goofy rescue dog – with all the books she can read, all the quilts she can sew and all the plants she can keep alive.
