Jacqueline Looser brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in business, finance, and operations to the classroom. She first joined The University of Olivet in 2014 as chief financial officer, later transitioning to the faculty as assistant professor of business. Now returning as an adjunct instructor in the MBA program, Professor Looser continues to share her expertise in accounting while mentoring the next generation of business leaders.
Throughout her career, Professor Looser has held senior financial and operational roles in higher education and K-12 institutions in Illinois and Michigan. As Olivet’s CFO, she oversaw budgeting, strategic planning, and business operations, building strong connections across the campus community. Her professional background allows her to bring real-world applications into the classroom, helping students bridge theory with practice.
Professor Looser is passionate about making complex concepts approachable and meaningful. She enjoys seeing students gain confidence as they master accounting principles, often using storytelling—and even the occasional accounting song—to make learning engaging.
She holds an associate’s degree in accounting from Northwest Wisconsin Technical Center, along with a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Illinois. Originally from Illinois, Professor Looser has traveled extensively during her husband’s military career, but she has found a lasting home in Michigan and within the Olivet community.
