Suzanna Flood is the director of the Teaching Pathway. The Teaching Pathway is a unique program for students interested in pursuing a career in teaching. This program prepares undergraduate students to enter an alternate route to teacher certification program as defined by the State of Michigan once they graduate from The University of Olivet. The director of the Teaching Pathway is responsible for providing leadership and oversite in the development, coordination, and monitoring of the program.
“I am thrilled to use my love and passion for education as the director of the Teaching Pathway at The University of Olivet,” Flood said. “This program is excellent for The University of Olivet and the students because it addresses the teacher shortage in our state and provides students with great opportunities to give back to their community. A student can graduate with a bachelor’s degree and become a full-time teacher with the assistance of an alternative route to certification program. The students will get hands-on experiences right away at The University of Olivet through classroom observations, volunteer work, and even internship experiences.”
