Daniel Shadik serves as the Director of Online and Graduate Recruitment at The University of Olivet, where he leads strategic initiatives to expand access to higher education for adult Degree Completion and Graduate Student populations. His work is driven by a deep belief in the transformative power of education and its ability to unlock potential and inspire bold aspirations.
Daniel is inspired by President Ronald Reagan’s words from the 1984 State of the Union Address: “America is too great for small dreams.” He sees this sentiment reflected in the mission of higher education—to empower individuals to dream big and achieve more than they thought possible.
Before joining Olivet, Daniel served as a K–12 Superintendent for four years and held leadership roles as a Dean of Students in both Michigan Public Schools and Michigan Charter Schools. His dedication to student development extended beyond academics; he also coached Varsity Baseball, leading his team to a Conference Championship in 2025.
Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Central Michigan University and a Master’s degree in Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Organizational Leadership in Higher Education.
He resides in Hillsdale, Michigan, with his wife, Kayla, and their sons.
