Dr. Colin S. McCaleb is a First Year Success Navigator at The University of Olivet. He started his career at Olivet five years ago, teaching writing classes.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in English, a master’s degree in communication, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership, with an emphasis on evaluation, measurement, and research. He worked for Kellogg Community College for 20 years as an administrator of the regional campuses in Albion, Coldwater, and Hastings. He has also taught communication, study skills, computers, and business communication classes. He has written three books (“The End of Ideology,” “On the Nature of Existence,” and “Being and Ethics,”) and he has played the guitar for several decades, releasing multiple albums. As an “Arts and Letters” type of person, his main goal is to help students succeed.
