Dr. Gendera is a Latina researcher with over 20 years of higher education experience teaching undergraduate and MBA courses. She is a passionate international educator who aspires to help her community close the aspirations-attainment gap with her strong management background.

Dr. Gendera’s research focus on understanding the resilience of underrepresented students and how that affects their career and academic success.

She earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University, a M.Sc. in Management from Estacio de Sa University, an MBA in Information Technology from Getulio Vargas Foundation, and B.B.A in Management from Estacio de Sa University.
