Best’s Review magazine has named The University of Olivet’s Insurance and Risk Management program a College Standout for preparing students to work in the insurance industry.
The University of Olivet is just one of 20 colleges and universities named to the list and is the only Michigan school included. Others named to the list include powerhouse schools such as Florida State University, University of Wisconsin, University of Georgia and Temple University.
Named a Strong Performer, The University of Olivet was noted for its industry engagement initiatives, which include on-campus speakers and student involvement in industry events, as well as for its graduates having a strong work ethic and a commitment to pursuing designations. Strong Performers earned substantial mentions from corporate hiring managers. Tom Humphreys, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, CIC, Director of the Risk Management and Insurance Center at The University of Olivet, said, “We are very honored to be recognized by Best’s Review as an institution that stands out in the discipline of risk management and insurance. As the smallest school by enrollment in the ranking, the ability for faculty to work with our students in small class sizes, and many times one-on-one, really sets our students up to gain knowledge and experience that larger schools can’t provide.”
