About the Program

In Olivet’s philosophy, ethics and religious studies minor, you’ll take courses in world religions, philosophy, normative and applied ethics, theories and methods in the study of religion and philosophy, social and political theory, religious history, and contemporary religious and philosophical issues.  A variety of special topics courses are taught abroad and independent study is encouraged.

Why this minor?

Students will gain a critical perspective on a variety of contemporary issues and this knowledge provides an excellent enhancement to other academic areas such as history, sociology and anthropology, or English. It can also round out professional training in the sciences or business.
