Your Certification to Teaching Roadmap

The online Teaching Pathway program is an approved alternative teacher certification option for prospective teachers in your state. We help guide you through every step of the process of becoming a teacher in Arizona:

1. Beginning the program: Apply to our program to start simultaneously earning a bachelor’s degree and earning certification. You will major in Integrative Studies with a concentration in education and a particular subject area.
2. Completing coursework: Once you are enrolled, you’ll complete your coursework online. This coursework is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.
3. Securing a position: After you complete initial preparation and pass relevant exams, you’re eligible for an alternative teaching certificate, which allows you to enter the classroom as a full-time, paid teacher. You will teach while receiving supervision and support.
4. Finishing program requirements: While you are teaching, you will complete several remaining requirements of the #TEACH program, at which time you’ll get a final alternative teaching certificate that you can convert to a standard professional license.

Many of those positions were filled by long-term substitutes.
