How the Bachelor’s Degree Completion Program Works

Your major in Integrative Studies can include a concentration in education along with an area of interest such as Elementary Education, Mathematics, Science, or another field. You will earn your Bachelor’s degree from the University of Olivet, which has been awarding degrees since 1863 and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. You can apply up to 90 previously earned credits or recognized prior learning experiences toward completing your Bachelor’s degree. Additionally, you can earn up to 12 credits toward your Master of Education while pursuing your teaching certificate.

While you earn your Bachelor’s degree, you’ll begin completing the requirements for your certification through the #TEACH program. The requirements are embedded into your classes, preparing you to step into a classroom right away. After graduation, you’ll be eligible for your MI Interim Teaching Certificate (or similar in other approved states). You’ll be able to teach while completing the #TEACH-Teacchers of Tomorrow requirements.

How Much Does the Teaching Pathway Cost?

The cost of an online teaching degree depends on a few factors, including how many credits a student takes each semester. The University of Olivet’s price per credit hour is among the lowest for online teaching bachelor’s degree programs (tuition subject to change). In addition to the tuition, students will pay a reduced fee to complete their teacher preparation program with the #TEACH program.
