To Professor WeglarzProfessor Oyster and Professor Humphreys, thank you for always leaving your door open and being the key people I could always go to whenever I needed help or to talk about something; You all never made me feel shut out or alone.

Thank you to Phi Beta Lambda for allowing me to be a voice and showing me that my opinion matters as much as anyone else’s. Thank you for the memories and laughs that we have shared. I will never forget you guys.

I want to thank Joshua Gillespie and H.A.S.S.A for giving me a place to go and the opportunity to discover a completely different side of myself. I was outspoken before but being a part of H.A.S.S.A. has enhanced my public speaking and leadership skills. I gained a lot of knowledge to carry with me as I go into the professional world.

Joey Shepherd, thank you for always being there when I needed help with class assignments, connecting me with tutors, giving me my first work-study job and letting me come to your office to hang out until my next class or catch up on some work.

Destinee Hawkins, thank you for taking me under your wing and being one of my first friends and now a lifelong friend during our time at Olivet; you are someone I look up to, and I thank you for allowing me to be a part of the H.A.S.S.A experience with you and Josh. I enjoyed the memories that we have created.

Thank you to Dr. Todd Long for always being my go-to person to talk to and for always leaving your door open. Even though we have only known each other for a year, you were a part of having an impact during my time at Olivet.

Thank you to the Health and Wellness Center for always being somewhere to escape from the stress of being a college student.

Last but not least, I would like to thank President Corey from the bottom of my heart for always making me feel welcome at Olivet, from my first tour of campus to now. President Corey, you made me feel at home at Olivet. I always enjoyed the times we interacted with each other throughout my years at Olivet, like when I had the honor of receiving an invite to the President’s house for dinner and your help with connecting me to others when trying to represent Olivet through the Black Student Union or in personal work. I got comfortable with being uncomfortable.
