Three staff members from The University of Olivet’s Office of College Relations were recently recognized with PACE Awards from the Central Michigan Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (CMPRSA).
The PACE Awards are presented each year as mid-Michigan’s highest honor of public relations activities. These awards are given to public relations practitioners who, in the judgment of their peers, have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness.
Bruce Snyder, Molly Goaley and Shannon Tiernan earned 2015 PACE Awards in three categories:
The all-new The University of Olivet website earned an Award of Excellence. Tiernan, assistant vice president for marketing and communications, spearheaded the project. She developed content, and provided direction on all objectives, including target audience, ease of navigation, and quality of content and design. Snyder, director of creative services, contributed to the design work, and Goaley, director of college relations, contributed written content.
Shipherd’s Record, the alumni magazine of The University of Olivet, also received an Award of Excellence. Goaley is responsible for managing editorial content for the publication, while Snyder manages design and layout. Tiernan and other college employees, including Geoff Henson, sports information director, and Marty Jennings, director of alumni relations contribute to the magazine as well.
In addition, Goaley received an Award of Excellence for her feature story, “Seeing the World from a New Point of View,” in the Fall/Winter 2014-15 issue of Shipherd’s Record.
The employees were honored at a ceremony in Lansing Thursday, April 30, at the Greater Lansing Association of Realtors.
