Allison (Allie) is a 2014 graduate of Davenport University in Grand Rapids where she studied business administration with a focus in marketing. She was a non-traditional college student, working full-time as a merchandise assistant in the MC Sports Corporate Office in Grand Rapids while attending college courses in the evening.
Allie got her start in college admissions in South Carolina in 2015 and fell instantly in love with helping students make their college choices. “One of my best admissions memories was when a student told me they were choosing my school instead of Clemson University because of me and the help that I gave him. It really showed me that I made a difference in his life, and I had a passion for helping students take their next step in their educational career.”
Allie enjoys playing recreation league softball in the summers; hunting deer, turkey and duck in the fall; and year-round fishing trips. She also has a passion for traveling, photography, music and dance. She enjoys watching the Detroit Tigers. She is an active participant and co-team captain in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Events in West Michigan and has a passion for helping people.

Jacob is a 2015 graduate of Bowling Green State University where he majored in music education with a specialization in instrumental music. Through his time in undergrad, he became very involved with the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Admissions where he held positions as a resident advisor, summer assistant, and campus tour guide, among others.
Jacob found a real passion for student affairs in higher education, stating “I loved hearing student’s stories and helping them make a decision on where they wanted to go to school. Students become who they’re supposed to be as a person in college, it’s great to help guide them and find their path.”
In his role as Academic Enrollment Specialist, Jacob will be focused on the Chicago area. He will be visiting schools in Chicago, giving presentations to prospective students, and attending college fairs. Ultimately, Jacob hopes to help students find their path and feel at home at The University of Olivet. “This is a place where they can feel comfortable, safe and make a difference.”

Sarah is a 2011 graduate of Spring Arbor University where she majored in marketing with a minor in advertising and public relations. During her time as an undergrad, she was heavily involved in the Admissions Office, where she had the opportunity to meet and interact with prospective students and their families. Sarah has a passion for higher education, the liberal arts and the opportunities that arise from attending a four-year institution of higher learning.
With more than eight years of admissions experience, Sarah still finds great satisfaction in working with students as they pursue their college options and eventually make a decision on where they will spend the next four years of their life. She knows that the college chapter will greatly impact who they become and the trajectory of their future.
Sarah says, “It’s exciting to be a part of such an important and life changing decision! It’s always my goal to come alongside a student and simplify the admissions process in a way that makes the decision both easy and comfortable.” One of the highlights of her job in admissions has always been watching her enrolled students thrive and grow as college students once they are finally on campus. “College is life changing, and it’s awesome to see those changes and growth occur!”
Outside of the admissions world, Sarah loves spending time with her family and friends, coffee and travel. She looks forward to meeting you and getting to know you!
Sarah is looking forward to making a positive impact both in the Olivet community and with future Comets!
