With the expected further decline in temperatures occurring late today through late Thursday, the College is directing that all classes are moved “online” beginning at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 30 through all of tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 31. College offices also will be closed during this time. Normal operations, including on-campus class meetings, will resume on Friday morning, Feb. 1.
Students should check Blackboard and their email for instructions from professors regarding online learning activities and expectations for Wednesday and Thursday. On-campus classes will meet again beginning on Friday starting with the 7:50 a.m. class period.
All athletic competitions are also suspended from 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, until operations resume on Friday morning. Coaches may hold optional indoor practices or activities in support of student engagement — students will receive updates from coaches or the athletic director. Students should also watch for additional announcements from the Student Life Office regarding pledging and other student life activities that may be held on campus during the suspension of on-campus class sessions.
Students should remain mindful of the temperature challenges and should remain indoors when at all possible.
If students have questions, they should contact their professors, coaches or resident advisers.
