The University of Olivet will host a community fair during its Homecoming Weekend, Oct. 11 and 12, at the Cutler Athletic Complex. The fair will be open from 3-11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11 and from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12. The public is encouraged to attend.
Known as the Festival Grounds, the two-day event welcomes community members of all ages to enjoy classic fair rides, games and inflatables. In addition, a variety of food and beverage vendors will offer funnel cakes, beef brisket, beer, wine and much more.
“Who doesn’t love a fair in the crisp fall weather? The sights, sounds and smells of the midway, like the Ferris Wheel and Gravitron, elephant ears and corn dogs, cotton candy and more, are pinnacle parts of a family fun day,” said The University of Olivet Director of Alumni Engagement Samantha Pearl. “We’re excited to host the inaugural community fair at the Festival Grounds on The University of Olivet’s campus. The surrounding communities are supporters, neighbors, families and friends of the College, and we look forward to sharing this fall event with everyone.”
The fair also includes music, a photo booth, and comfort and convenience amenities like ATMs, restrooms, first aid, potable water and a private area for nursing mothers.
All entertainment and dining options at the fair are available for purchase with universal tickets. Tickets will be available for $1.25 apiece at several convenient locations at the Festival Grounds.
