The University of Olivet to host 17th annual Employers’ Fair

The University of Olivet is hosting its 17th annual Employers’ Fair, Wednesday, January 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Cutler Event Center. The event is coordinated by Gamma Iota Sigma and supported by the college’s Career Services Network. Gamma Iota Sigma is Olivet’s award-winning insurance, risk management and actuarial science student organization.

More than 40 organizations have already registered to meet prospective employees, including: Accident Fund Holdings, Acuity, Allison Personnel Services, Inc., Amerisure Mutual Insurance, Arlington/Roe, Auto-Owners Insurance Company, Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company, Calhoun Conservation District, Citizens Insurance Group (Hanover), Colonial Life, Craft Agency Inc., Diebold Insurance Agency, Eaton County Parks Department, EMC Insurance, Farmers’ Insurance, General Agency Company, Gibson Insurance, Hagerty Insurance, Hantz Group, Hastings Mutual Insurance Company, Hylant, Ingham County Sheriff’s Office, JM Wilson Corporation, KP Insurance Agency (Allstate), LSG Insurance Partners, Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Meemic Insurance, Michigan Department of Corrections, Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies, Michigan Insurance Company, Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Company, Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority, Michigan State Police, Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial, Northwestern Mutual, Nulty Insurance, Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Company, Principal Financial Group, Prudential Insurance, State Farm Insurance, State of Michigan Civil Service Commission, State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget, US Customs and Border Protection, VTC Insurance Group, Westfield Insurance and Wolverine Mutual Insurance.

The purpose of the The University of Olivet Employers’ Fair is to introduce employers to the college’s students, who represent a wide variety of academic disciplines, from the social sciences to insurance and risk management. Past fairs have resulted in a number of jobs and internships for students, and many of the participating organizations have been attending for years.
