The University of Olivet to host 16th annual Employers’ Fair

The University of Olivet is hosting its 16th annual Employers’ Fair, Wednesday, January 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Cutler Event Center. The event is coordinated by Gamma Iota Sigma and supported by the college’s Career Services Network. Gamma Iota Sigma is Olivet’s award-winning insurance, risk management and actuarial science student organization.

More than 40 organizations have already registered to meet prospective employees, including: 1st Source Insurance; Aflac; Aon; Arlington Roe; Auto-Owners Insurance; Battle Creek Police Department; Brotherhood Mutual Insurance; Charlotte Police Department; Colonial Life Insurance; Craft Insurance Agency; Drug Enforcement Administration – Detroit Special Agents; Eaton County Community Corrections; Eaton County Sheriff; EMC Insurance; Farmer’s Insurance; Frankenmuth Insurance; Hantz Group; Hylant Group; Ingham County Sheriff’s Office; JM Wilson Corporation; LECMPA; Meadowbrook Insurance; Michigan Farm Bureau; Michigan Insurance Company; Michigan State Police; Modern Woodmen Financial; MSU Federal Credit Union; National Interstate Insurance; Northway Insurance Agency, INC; PCIA Insurance Agency; Pioneer State Mutual; Principal Financial Group; Prudential Insurance; Red Cedar Insurance Agency; Saginaw Bay Underwriters; Security First Insurance Agency; ServPro of Eaton County; State Auto Insurance Company; State of Michigan Department of Human Resources; State of Michigan Department of Corrections; Valenti, Trobec, Chandler, Inc. Agency; and Westfield Insurance.

The purpose of the The University of Olivet Employers’ Fair is to introduce employers to the college’s students, who represent a wide variety of academic disciplines, from the social sciences to insurance and risk management. Past fairs have resulted in a number of jobs and internships for students, and many of the participating organizations have been attending for years.
