On Friday, July 19, 2019, The University of Olivet will host the Comet Club Classic golf outing at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek. All proceeds from the event will benefit the The University of Olivet Athletic Department. There are opportunities for sponsorship for the event in several levels of giving.
The cost to attend is $125 or $100 for the classes of 2016-19. Each golfer receives 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch and dinner, driving range access, a gift bag, and opportunities to win prizes through raffles and golf contests.
The outing will be conducted in four-person scramble format. Check-in and games begin at 8 a.m., followed by a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
“The Comet Classic Golf Outing is a great way to reconnect with friends,” Bill Stockberger, director of the Comet Club, said. “You’ll have the opportunity to see old coaches you might not have seen in years. It is a tremendous way to support Olivet Athletics by playing or sponsoring a hole or an event. All the money received from this event supports Olivet Athletics in a number of ways. It helps provide new seating at sporting events, fund the construction of new facilities and a better form of travel for our teams.”
