The University of Olivet has announced the appointment of John Linzy Jones, Jr. to its Board of Trustees. Jones will join the College’s board with a commitment to providing a successful educational experience for all students.
“I am very pleased to have John Linzy Jones, Jr. join the The University of Olivet Board of Trustees,” said President Steven M. Corey, Ph.D. “John is a wonderful alumnus of The University of Olivet and he is a dedicated leader in his industry. We are pleased to have him serve the College with his time and talent, and we are fortunate to have dedicated alumni and friends who are strongly committed to the institution and its mission.”
Jones served the Bronson Healthcare Group for 21 years, holding progressive executive positions. He retired as the senior vice president for community care and was responsible for three system hospitals, ambulatory care and development, and several system-wide operating departments. Jones’ key areas of expertise included strategic planning, operations/productivity management, physician enterprise leadership, financial analysis, new construction planning and oversight, and more. He has also served on the boards of the West Michigan AirCare, Hospital Network Ventures, Bronson Network, Kalamazoo Endoscopy Center and Stewart Sutherland Paper Company. Jones holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Olivet, a master’s degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
“As an alumnus and someone who has been a part of the The University of Olivet family, I am delighted to be contributing in this new capacity,” Jones said.
