The University of Olivet is proud to announce a Veterans Scholarship equal to 50 percent of tuition costs.
The scholarship is available to veterans with qualifying days of active duty service; active duty military; and current members of the National Guard or any branch of the U.S. military reserve who qualify for VA benefits and/or military education assistance. Spouses and legal dependents who provide proof of eligibility qualify for the scholarship, as well.
“We are pleased to honor the service of our military men and women with this scholarship,” said Maria Davis, Ph.D., provost and dean of academic affairs. “Veterans and active duty military sacrifice so much for our country… for you and me. This scholarship is a simple way for us to say ‘thank you.’”
Students must be enrolled full-time to remain eligible for this scholarship. As always, Olivet faculty and staff work with military students when called back into active duty to ensure smooth transitions – both academically and financially.
To celebrate the announcement, veterans and active duty military and their families will receive free admission to this Saturday’s Olivet home football game versus Earlham (Ind.). They will also be honored during the game.
The University of Olivet is a certified Military Friendly School, and has earned Silver status with the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency.
