As part of The University of Olivet’s ongoing commitment to the local community, President Steven M. Corey, Ph.D., is pleased to announce that proposals are now being accepted for the 2019-20 The University of Olivet Community Investment Grant program. In its third year, the College will consider and fund multiple proposals from non-profit and civic organizations with a primary purpose of supporting and enriching the Olivet community and its citizens.

“When The University of Olivet was founded 175 years ago, its founders envisioned a symbiotic relationship of a college and community, created together, working together, thriving together in support of one another. Throughout our long history, there have been countless ways that the College and community have fulfilled this vision, enriching one another intellectually, economically, spiritually and culturally,” said Corey. “As part of The University of Olivet’s ongoing commitment to the Olivet community, we are pleased to have the opportunity and capacity to provide financial support to key initiatives and needs within the greater Olivet community through our Community Investment Grant. It is an honor to support selected organizations in the important work they do for the benefit of the citizens of Olivet.”

Since 2017, The University of Olivet has awarded 22 grants totaling nearly $30,000.

Proposals for the 2019-20 grant cycle may be submitted online. Applications must be submitted by June 1. Awards will be announced in August 2019.

Questions about the grant program or application process may be directed to Barb Spencer, executive assistant to the president, at bspencer@uolivet.edu or 269.749.7642.
