Meet Sarah Cook! Sarah is a junior at The University of Olivet who majors in music. After graduation, Sarah aspires to be a music educator, as music is her primary passion. “Music is so impactful. It is healing, fun, and a great way to build relationships with others. I would love nothing more than to share that with my future students,” Sarah said.

According to Sarah, she has been singing since she was able to speak, and she chose Olivet as the gateway to the next stage of her life. Sarah said, “I chose Olivet because of the small community. It really is a family here, and I don’t think I would be successful anywhere else. You’re never left without support here.”

Sarah never takes for granted the privilege of studying music at OC and always takes the time to appreciate the role models that guide her through her journey of becoming an educator. “My role models are music instructor Dr. Ramona Kime and my friend and fellow music major, Ellie Diamond. They have both supported me in my journey and have so much talent that I look up to. I don’t know what I would do without them in my life,” said Sarah.

Sarah Cook has thrived in excellence in her three years as a music major at Olivet. She leaves the crowd in awe when she puts her musical talents on display.
