The University of Olivet has entered into an Academic Partnership with St. John Technical and Educational Campus to offer a Master of Business Administration (MBA). St. John students can complete their MBA online and choose between a concentration in insurance and risk management or enterprise risk management. The University of Olivet will also host an optional 14-day summer immersion for students.

The University of Olivet also has academic partnerships with India’s Christ Academy Institute for Advance Studies and St. Bede’s College.

Dr. Evans Coutinho, St. John Technical and Educational Campus dean of research, and Aldridge D’Souza, Aldel Education Trust trustee, were hosted by The University of Olivet on June 12, where they met with the College’s president and leadership team, toured the campus, and signed the academic partnership agreement.

“It is an honor to partner with St. John Technical and Educational Campus to offer its students the opportunity to earn an MBA in two of the most vital and in-demand career fields, insurance and enterprise risk management,” said The University of Olivet President Steven M. Corey, Ph.D. “As Olivet moves to become The University of Olivet by the fall 2023 semester, this global partnership is one example of the bold initiatives we are taking as a comprehensive institution to broaden the reach of our nationally recognized programs and faculty while remaining committed to a relationship-based education. We are thrilled that St. John is part of this historic time in the history of Olivet.”

Leveraging the strength of its nationally-recognized risk management and insurance program, Olivet is offering St. John students a number of options to complete their MBA or to receive certificate credentials.

D’Souza said, “The Association of Catholic Christian Minority Institutes (ACCMI) is delighted to be associated with The University of Olivet. With the paradigm shift in the Indian education system due to the implementation of National Education Policy (NEP), this partnership enables us to offer our students a diverse range of courses during their education in India and also a pathway to higher education in the United States.

The MBA program with its specialization in Insurance and Risk Management is one of its kind which will improve employability in one of the fastest growing sectors of the country. We also look forward to collaborating with The University of Olivet on other majors and certificate programs which will complement the 40-plus programs that are offered at the 35 Institutions under ACCMI.”
