What brought you to OC?
I’ve always had a passion for people, and I wanted to be part of an institution that has the same passion and goal in doing something greater and enriching the lives of those around them. My new role will allow me to connect past students and alumni with their passions to further the mission here at OC.
Why do you love OC?
While I did not attend OC, it’s evident that the alumni, faculty and staff are passionate about the students. From the moment I began working here, I felt like I was part of the OC family. The passion is there. The mission is focused. And, I love the “Be More. Do Good.” mentality.
What’s the average day in your role, or some of the unique things you are responsible for?
My role allows me to cultivate relationships and engage with alumni — to hear about their time at OC and what made it so great for them.
Why do you encourage students to attend OC?
It’s a family atmosphere here at OC, plain and simple. The professors are focused on their students and the experience they have while at OC.
Why do you encourage alumni and friends to stay engaged with OC?
OC’s mission is on point. There are so many awesome things happening on campus, in and out of the classroom. The students are great; the faculty is great; the staff is great.
What do you look forward to in your role?
I’m excited to hear the stories that alumni can bring to the table, and I’m especially eager to hear about what made Olivet special for them. I can’t wait to know more about what made their The University of Olivet experience memorable, and what made that chapter in their life so meaningful.
What is an interesting or little-known fact about yourself?
I’ve always been an athlete — basketball, softball, golf — you name it — but running has never been a thrill for me. With the help and encouragement of my best friend, I recently ran my first ever half-marathon. And, I’m hoping to run more … eventually!
