The University of Olivet’s social science department will present its annual Veteran’s Day program Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 in Mott Auditorium from 10:50 a.m. until noon. The event is free and open to the public.
Each year, the college’s active duty military and veteran employees, students, alumni and trustees are invited to speak as part of an informal panel during the program. Participants often share stories, photos and songs that represent their time spent in service. Prospective The University of Olivet students are also invited to join the program as part of a special admissions visit event.
This is the fifteenth annual event. The program was created in 2002 as a way to recognize and honor the members of the The University of Olivet community who have given of themselves to ensure our freedom.
Those interested in participating should contact Cynthia Noyes, J.D., social science department chair and professor of sociology and anthropology, at 269.749.7144 or cnoyes@uolivet.edu.
