Honor Band

Experience music at the collegiate level with The University of Olivet!

High school musicians in grades 9–12 are invited to participate in Honor Band, a full-day experience designed to bring talented student musicians together for rehearsals, sectionals, and a final performance with Olivet’s wind ensemble.

Throughout the day, you’ll work with music faculty, collaborate with other student musicians, and experience what it’s like to be part of a college music program. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore Olivet’s campus, learn about our music major and minor, and discover how you can continue your passion for music at the college level.

Your Honor Band experience includes:

• Rehearsals and sectionals with Olivet music faculty
• Lunch and dinner provided
• Open rehearsal viewing for parents and directors
• A final concert performance at 7 p.m. (concert attire required)

The University of Olivet welcomes musicians from all majors and backgrounds to participate in our ensembles. Whether you plan to study music or simply want to continue performing in college, there’s a place for you at Olivet.

All Honor Band participants will be considered for a renewable $2,000 music scholarship.
