Andrea Lozano ’82: New Mexico, Land of Enchantment

This fall, The University of Olivet will welcome alumna and artist Andrea Lozano ’82 back to campus for the annual Homecoming Exhibition.

Lozano, who studied at Olivet from 1978–1982, will be featured in New Mexico, Land of Enchantment, an exhibition of her work on display through Oct. 15 in the Kresge Foundation Art Gallery.

For more than 35 years, Lozano has built a career in the visual arts as an exhibiting artist and painter. Her work has taken her from Michigan to the Southwest, where she developed a deep connection to the landscapes and culture of New Mexico.

The exhibition offers visitors a chance to experience Lozano’s perspective on New Mexico while also celebrating her connection to the place where her own story as an artist began.

An Artist’s Reception will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. following the Homecoming football game.
