Dining on campus is part of your student experience at OC. You might be excited to escape from your mom’s meatloaf or disappointed to miss out every time your dad grills his secret recipe steak, but on campus, Chartwells provides something for even the pickiest eater, every single day.
The Kirk Center, better known as simply the KC, is home to the main cafeteria on campus. Located right on Main Street, it’s hard to miss. Here, you’ll be able to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. The options are truly endless! From healthy options to comfort foods, Chartwells makes it possible to serve everyone’s favorites. Every day for breakfast, there’s fresh fruit, yogurt and main dishes such as scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage (sometimes both!) as well as pancakes, French toast and other classic breakfast dishes.
Made-to-order sandwiches and wraps, pizza, a salad bar and soup are staples during lunch and dinner. Other fresh and homemade options rotate at several different stations, including world foods and American classics. There’s only a few hours every weekday that the KC isn’t serving fresh food, and there’s almost always another dining option on campus that’s open when the KC is closed. Students use their IDs to swipe in for meals and can also use their bonus meals to bring guests. Cash or cards may also be used to purchase a meal for parents, faculty, staff or members of the community. The door rates for meals are $4.10 for breakfast, $6.15 for lunch or brunch and $9.25 for dinner.

For busy students, The Corner at Mott offers a selection perfect for grabbing a meal on the way to class. There’s a huge variety of fresh or packaged coffee perfect for early morning classes. Located by the Cottage Street entrance of the Mott Academic Center, (across from Shipherd) The Corner at Mott is a gathering spot before each class. Students can redeem their meal plan points for granola bars, chips, hummus, bagels and other items, or they can be purchased with cash or cards. Light meals and munchies are available from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. There’s even an outdoor patio and a few tables and chairs to enjoy the sunshine while you eat.
An additional breakfast option is available or students can satisfy afternoon cravings at the Cyber Café located in the Roznowski Learning Commons in Burrage Library. Specialty coffees are made to order by Olivet’s own baristas. Lattes and cappuccinos can be paired with muffins and other snacks for the perfect treat while heading to class, studying or meeting for a group project.
