The University of Olivet’s Comets Cupboard continues to play an important role in supporting students by providing access to free food, toiletries and other essential items.
During the past academic year, Comets Cupboard recorded 7,591 visits during its regular operating hours. This total does not include food distributed during emergency situations.

The number reflects student visits rather than unique individuals, as many students rely on Comets Cupboard on a regular basis. Tracking visits offers a clearer picture of the pantry’s ongoing use and the continued need for this campus resource.
Looking ahead, the University hopes to expand Comets Cupboard’s services to the greater Olivet community.
Comets’ Cupboard is open Wednesdays from 12:30–4:30 p.m., thanks to the Greater Lansing Food Bank, Meijer Warehouse 89, Larry Mitchell Trice Community Outreach Services, and so many generous businesses, nonprofits, and individuals.
Donors help keep Comets Cupboard stocked and growing by funding essential equipment, including freezers that allow us to provide more fresh and frozen food to students.
