Members of The University of Olivet Gruen Chemistry Society recently traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, to participate in the 2026 Spring American Chemical Society (ACS) National Conference & Exposition.

During the conference, the chapter received a Silver Award at the Undergraduate Awards Ceremony, recognizing the group’s strong programming, engagement and commitment to advancing chemistry on campus and beyond.

In addition to this honor, students also presented a poster during the Successful Student Chapter SCI-Mix session, showcasing their work alongside peers from across the country. The experience provided valuable opportunities to engage with professionals, share research and gain insight into future careers in the field.

Students who attended included Aiden Chamblee, Raymon Brown, Valarie Nelson, Natalie Ross, Ryleigh Reese, Claire Williams, Abigail Chapman and Emily Clark.

Their participation highlights the impact of undergraduate research, collaboration and academic communities that extend beyond the classroom.
