Recently, Ash Brokerage donated 15 licenses of JourneyGuide software to The University of Olivet. The software will serve as an important tool in preparing students for professional careers in financial planning. JourneyGuide is a nationally-recognized, comprehensive retirement planning software.
“JourneyGuide is an innovative leader in retirement income planning,” said Charles E. Clark, JourneyGuide Planning Software executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We are committed to helping new financial advisers have the tools that they need to have an immediate impact on clients after graduating. JourneyGuide helps them leverage technology to provide successful retirement advice. We are proud to help The University of Olivet students work with leading retirement software to graduate more prepared.”
Ash Brokerage is an insurance Brokerage General Agency located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The company represents four main categories of products, including life insurance, long-term care insurance, disability insurance and annuities.
“We are pleased to provide such a powerful retirement income planning tool to The University of Olivet’s personal financial planning curriculum,” said Michael J. McGlothlin, ChFC, CLU,
CFP, Ash Brokerage executive vice president, retirement. “Equipping students with the tools to facilitate the new retirement income paradigm is critical to the long term success of retirement income planning and puts The University of Olivet students in a better position to succeed in their financial planning career.”
The software will be available to students in the 2020 spring semester, which will be used in the College’s Planning for Retirement and Health and Long-Term Care Financing courses.
“All wealth management firms use some type of software,” said Areerat “Poy” Lertchaipitak, Ph.D., assistant professor of business administration. “JourneyGuide is well known and frequently used by financial advisers. If our students are trained to use the program while they are still in school, they can easily transition to work for a company who uses this program, avoiding additional training time and costs. This will put our students at an advantage when they enter the workforce.”
