The University of Olivet is excited to welcome you to Mackinac Island June 9-11! Thank you for registering.

It’s going to be a weekend full of fun, including an island cocktail event Friday evening, carriage tours, island exploration, a sip’ n sail cruise on Saturday, and a farewell breakfast on Sunday.

This private webpage provides all the critical information you’ll need to register for your ferry ride to the island and the events hosted by The University of Olivet.

Ferry Ride to the Island - Shepler's

Shepler’s Ferry

Choose St. Ignace as your departure location. The ferry departs every half hour from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.

• Use Promo Code OLIVET2023 to receive a discounted rate.
• The cost is $23/adult and $14/child for a round trip.
• Overnight parking in a standard, off-site lot is $15/night. Overnight parking in a premium, onsite lot is $20/night.
• The luggage transfer fee to Mission Point is included in your room reservation.
• Upon arrival at the island, a taxi is available from Carriage Tours to Mission Point for $8/person. Cash is the preferred payment option. If you choose to pay by credit card, please make arrangements with Shepler’s Ferry before arriving on the Island.

Friday Evening Cocktail Reception

Friday, 4-6 p.m.

Join us for a complimentary Welcome to the Island cocktail reception Friday evening in the Colonial Room at Mission Point from 4-6 p.m.  Light hors d’oeuvres will be served. A cash bar will be available.

Saturday Private Carriage Tour

Saturday, 2 p.m.

Experience the history and charm of Mackinac Island on a narrated private carriage tour. The two-hour tour will depart from Mission Point at 2 p.m.

The group rate is $38/person. Note: We must have at least 20 people interested in the private tour; otherwise, single tickets can be purchased at the Carriage Tours ticket office on Main Street.

Saturday Sip N Sail

Saturday, 8:30-10 p.m.

Watch as Mother Nature paints vibrant sunset colors across the canvas of the Straits of Mackinac. Sail under the mighty Mackinac Bridge while sipping on your favorite beverage and listening to the songs of summer by Will Springsteen.

• Seating is limited, so you’ll want to book early for this one!
• Use code OLIVET to receive $5 off your ticket. Adults and children are $48/ticket with a discount.

Sunday Farewell Breakfast

Sunday, 9-11 a.m.

Please join us in the Mission Point Colonial Room at Mission Point for a complimentary breakfast before departing the island!
