Distinguished Alumni Awards

The University of Olivet takes great pride in the success of our alumni. As such, we honor a number of outstanding alumni as part of our Alumni Awards and Athletic Hall of Fame event held during Homecoming Weekend every year.

Alumni Association Awards

The University of Olivet takes great pride in the success of our alumni. As such, we honor a number of outstanding alumni as part of our Distinguished Alumni Awards and Athletic Hall of Fame celebration held during Homecoming Weekend every year.

The University of Olivet Alumni Association seeks nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Award, Young Alumni, and 1844 Awards. The selections are made from nominees who have distinguished themselves through their professional and/or athletic accomplishments and who possess the highest standards of character, exemplifying our academic vision of Education for Individual and Social Responsibility and its mission: the divine art and science of doing good to others.

Nominations must be received July 1, 2024.

Alumni Awards

Distinguished Alumni Award

UOlivet Distinguished Alum Cloyce DickersonEstablished in 1958, the Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor presented to alumni. The award recognizes an individual(s) who has earned their undergraduate degree from The University of Olivet and exemplifies the university’s vision, mission, and values in addition to making exceptional contributions to their given profession and community.

Young Alumni Award

UOlivet Distinguished Young Alum Julia MiklusickEstablished in 2003, the Young Alumni Award recognizes a graduate(s) within 10 years of the individual’s commencement year who exemplifies the university’s vision, mission, and values and makes significant contributions to their given profession and community.

1844 Award

Established in 1977, the 1844 Award is named for the year of Olivet’s founding. Individuals are recognized for demonstrating their commitment and dedication to the advancement of The University of Olivet through service to the university, other community services, professional recognition, or noteworthy contributions to society that personify the mission of the university.  The nominee may be faculty, staff, alumni, a friend of the university, or a volunteer from the wider community. A nominee need not be a graduate of the university but must have ties to the university. The submission for the nominee may be made posthumously.

Athletic Hall of Fame

Established in 1972, The University of Olivet Athletic Hall of Fame was founded to honor past athletes, faculty, staff and friends who, through their actions, have brought distinction through athletics to themselves and to The University of Olivet.
