Music Talent Scholarship

Music is far more than entertainment. Music allows you to express joy, sadness, anger, love, celebration, worship and grief. It also has the ability to soften a heart, lift a spirit, enrage an individual or group, or bring a person to tears. Performers also build character traits such as hard work through practicing, public performance, teamwork and perseverance while doing what they love. The University of Olivet’s smaller size and rich music history allows us to meet the career goals of every student regardless of their major.

Scholarship Opportunity

*Open to Non-Music Majors*
The Music Talent Scholarship is awarded to students who have a passion for music. If you sing in a choir, play in a jazz band or play the piano, guitar or other instrument and want to continue to develop your knowledge and skills while having opportunities to perform, you could earn a Music Talent Scholarship. The University of Olivet is one of the few colleges that offer scholarships to non-music majors in addition to our music majors.

• Earn up to $2,000 per academic year.
• Non-music majors are encouraged to apply.
• Audition required.

Marching Comets Scholarship

The University of Olivet Marching Band welcomes students of any major who play any instrument to audition for the band. Scholarships of varying amounts are offered based on an audition, experience and talent. The University of Olivet Marching Band performs at athletic events and occasionally travels across the state and even internationally.
