Sources of Financial Aid

Sources of Financial Aid

Financial aid funds can come from various sources such as the federal government, the State of Michigan, scholarships from donors and more. Below are descriptions of various sources of financial aid, eligibility requirements, award amounts and how to apply for aid.

Most aid will require completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid  (FAFSA). Students who plan to attend The University of Olivet and are interested in financial aid to help pay for college must complete the FAFSA and enter our school code, 002308, in the first position of the application. To ensure you receive the most aid you are eligible for, you should complete the FAFSA as soon as it is released by the US. Department of Education or by the priority deadline of March 1 of each year you plan to apply for financial aid.

Depending on the source, undergraduate and graduate students may be eligible for financial aid.

UOlivet applies awarded funds to your direct costs (tuition, fees, room and board).
