This page provides you with steps on how to accept your financial aid, how to view your accepted aid and semester bill, and how to pay your semester bill.

Information For Current/Returning Students

How to View/Accept Your Financial Aid Award

Step 1: Log in to MyOlivet with your username and password. If you do not remember your username or password, click the “Can’t Access Your Account?” link and follow the account recovery process.

Step 2: Once you are logged in to the MyOlivet Portal, click on “Students” in the upper left corner.

Step 3: On the “Students” page, click on “Student Account and Financial Aid” in the left column to view your financial aid award(s).

Step 4: To view your financial aid award, click “Financial Aid Portal” in the right column.

Step 5: Click on “Accept Your Awards” if you have not already done so, or “View Your Awards” for an itemized list of your awards in the Financial Aid portal. Make sure you are viewing the Current Award Year.

Scroll to “Your Award Information” and related sections to view your total financial aid award plus any grants, scholarships, loans, and federal work-study you may have been awarded. Below is a sample screenshot, although your awards will be different.

How to View Your Account Balance

Step 1: Click the “Student Account and Financial Aid” link in the left column. Doing so will take you to the screen below.

Step 2: In the Year/Term drop-down menu, select the appropriate year and semester. This will display your current charges (what you owe, such as tuition, room fees, etc.) and credits (what has been applied for payment, such as loans, scholarships, etc.). Below is an example of a student’s charges and credits. Your charges and credits will be different from the example. Your balance due, if any, will also be provided.

Step 3: Pay your account balance with one of the payment options provided. See above.

  • “Enroll in a Payment Plan with Herring Bank;” this option allows you to spread out your payments over time; clicking the link will take you to an external website to set up your payment plan and pay the $30 activation fee.
  • “Make a Payment with Herring Bank;” this option allows you to make a one-time, lump sum payment for your semester balance.

See below for more information on payment plans and instructions if you prefer to pay in person or by mail.

How to Accept Your Financial Aid

Step 1: Login to your Application Status page. Below is a screenshot of a sample Application Status page.

Step 2: Scroll to the Status Update Section.

Step 3: Click the “Financial Aid” button to:

  • View your financial aid status.
  • Accept all or part of your financial aid or decline your financial aid.
  • Complete any outstanding items (you must complete any items marked as “Awaiting” prior to your financial aid being disbursed to your student account)

Below is an example of a financial aid checklist. Your checklist will be different based on the steps you have completed and whether you have applied for financial aid and requested that your information be sent to The University of Olivet. If you have not done so, please apply for financial aid at fafsa.gov and use our school code: 002308 to ensure your information is sent to us.

How to View Your Financial Aid Award

Step 1: Login to MyOlivet with your username and password you created at Orientation Prep Day.

If you do not remember your username, login to your Application Status Page and scroll to the Information Technology Services section to see your username. If you forgot your MyOlivet password, please follow the onscreen prompts to reset your password.

Your information will be displayed in the fields indicated below:

Email address

Your username and new password will be your log-in for myOlivet, UO email, campus computer log-in and UO-Student wifi.

Step 2: Once you are logged in to the MyOlivet Portal, click on “Students” in the upper left corner.

Step 3: On the “Students” page, click on “Student Account and Financial Aid” in the left column to view your financial aid award(s).

Step 4: To view your financial aid award, click “Financial Aid Portal” in the right column, then click “View Your Awards” once you are in the Financial Aid Portal. If you do not see your financial aid award, please check again in 24 hours.

How to Pay Online or By Mail

In Full Online

  • Pay by check or with a credit card – Echeck and credit card payments are
    accepted at My.UOlivet.edu/ICS.
  • Credit card payments will be assessed a 2.75%
    service fee.

In-person or by mail

Visit Room 205 in the Mott building (Mon – Fri, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

Payment Plans

Olivet offers payment plans that are convenient for families. These allow you to make payments throughout the semester to cover any balance after financial aid is applied.

Olivet offers payment plans through its online portal, MyOlivet. All payment plans have a $30 activation fee which is paid at the time of enrollment.

Students set up the payment plans or give access to their parent so that the parent can set up the plan. Your payment plan must be enrolled in automatic payments from a credit card or e-check payment. These automatic payments will be taken out every month on the due date regardless of weekends or holidays. Please see below for payment plans offered.

Spring Semester payment plans will open for enrollment on November 1, 2024. You will need to log back in and sign up for a new payment plan for Spring Semester.
