1. Apply
Complete your Olivet application for free or add us on your Common App. When applying, be sure to submit your high school transcript to complete the application process. The University of Olivet is test optional.
2. Visit Campus
Schedule an on-campus visit or virtual visit to start connecting with members of the The University of Olivet community, including professors, admissions representatives, coaches, talent recruiters and more! It’s a great time to learn more about OC and hear about all the great opportunities that exist for you here.
3. Check Your Application Status Page
Once you have completed your application, you will have access to your application status page, where you can see your application and financial aid checklists, as well as view important documents sent to you throughout the admissions process.
Log in using your username (your email) and password you created when you applied. It’s important that you remember your login information so you can track your application status and ensure all required forms and documents have been received by our admissions and financial aid teams.
4. Complete the FAFSA
Starting Oct. 1, you will have the opportunity to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We encourage all students to submit the FAFSA and add The University of Olivet (Code: 002308) to see what federal aid you’re eligible for.
5. Submit Supplemental Financial Documents
Your FAFSA may be selected by the federal government for a process called verification. Don’t worry — we will just need you to verify some information you submitted on your FAFSA. Be sure to check your application status page to view any documents you may need to submit. Questions about verification or your financial aid checklist items? Contact Student Services directly at 269-749-7645.
6. Review Award Letter
Once the FAFSA has been downloaded and fully processed, you will receive an official award letter, which will include all scholarships and federal aid you are eligible for at The University of Olivet. The award letter will be uploaded directly to your application status page. We highly encourage you to connect with your admissions representative once you have viewed your award letter to answer any questions you may have.
7. Submit Your Enrollment Deposit
When you’re ready to “SAY YES” to The University of Olivet and officially commit, a $150 nonrefundable deposit is required. The deposit can be made by logging into your application status page. Once your deposit is received and processed, you are officially a The University of Olivet Comet — Congrats!
8. Register for Orientation and Apply for Housing
New Student Orientation is a great time to continue connecting with campus and finalize all details prior to the start of the academic semester. Sign up for an Orientation date via your application status page. It’s a great time to meet other students, connect with your adviser to create and finalize your class schedule, complete any needed financial aid documents, receive MyOlivet Student Portal access, talk through payment plan options and more.
Complete your housing form via your application status page once you have registered for Orientation. All students are required to fill out a housing contract regardless of where you’re planning on living. You will start hearing back about your housing assignment and roommate information beginning on May 1. Questions about housing? Contact Student Services at 269-749-7645.
9. Set up your Payment Plan
The Student Services Office wants to work with you and your family to talk through payment opportunities. We have many options available to you to help with the cost of attendance, including three-, four- or five-month payment plans (per semester), private loan lenders or a combination of the two. A payment “plan of action” is highly recommended prior to attending Orientation. Contact Student Services at 269-749-7645 if you have questions about payment options.
10. Move-In Day Celebration
Regardless of where you are living, the whole campus is ready to celebrate. From helping you find your dorm room, to moving boxes and answering questions, your new OC family will make you and your family feel at home. Welcome to The University of Olivet!
